Junior AWS Cloud Engineer Trainee (Freshers are encouraged to apply)
As a Junior AWS Cloud Engineer Trainee, you will be part of the Cloud Operations team responsible for managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform. You will work closely with senior cloud engineers and other IT teams to support cloud-based services, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications and systems. This role is ideal for individuals with some experience in cloud technologies and a strong willingness to learn and grow their skills in AWS. Trainees will be offered fulltime employment based on their performance in 6-12 months. Qualified candidates will be given overseas opportunities in Middle East and/or USA/EU.
Responsibilities
Cloud Provisioning and Infrastructure Management:
Setup, configuration, and maintenance of AWS cloud resources, such as EC2 instances, S3 buckets, RDS databases, etc.
Support the deployment of cloud-based applications and services following best practices and security guidelines.
Monitor resource utilization and performance to optimize cloud infrastructure.
Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
Investigate and resolve issues related to cloud services, networking, and infrastructure components.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose and address cloud-related incidents promptly.
Security and Compliance:
Work with senior engineers and AWS to implement and maintain security measures to protect cloud resources and data.
Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and industry best practices.
Automation and Scripting:
Participate in scripting and automation efforts to streamline cloud operations and reduce manual tasks.
Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like AWS CloudFormation or Terraform to manage and provision cloud resources.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
Assist in creating and maintaining backup and disaster recovery procedures for cloud-based systems.
Continuous Improvement:
Keep up-to-date with AWS services and technologies to propose improvements and cost optimization strategies.
Contribute to the enhancement of cloud architecture and infrastructure.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Qualifications
Diploma/Associates/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts and AWS services.
Familiarity with Linux/Unix/Windows systems and networking concepts.
Knowledge of programming or scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred (but not required) Skills:
AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Exposure to containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
